Miguel Ángel Perera: "The sword has entered, but it hasn't had the desired effect."

Manuel Escribano , Miguel Ángel Perera and Borja Jiménez have left empty-handed after the bullfight held this Tuesday at the Real Maestranza with bulls from Santiago Domecq, and that despite Perera having been on the verge of touching heaven with his first bull, Anárquico , from which he was unable to cut off the two ears because he did not finish it off well.
After his first bull of the afternoon, Escribano commented, "The bull charged like it should. He was a bit of a bull, and he was my least favorite bull in the bullfight . We had to push him, but then the breed comes in, and we'll see if he responds or not. I didn't like this bull, but he responded."
For his part, Perera expressed his sadness after being unable to finish off his first bull, Anárquico. "Right now I'm upset. I went for the kill with great conviction. The sword went in, but it didn't have the desired effect ." The maestro from Extremadura added, "I've been very comfortable with the bull since I came out with the cape. It was a bull with depth, I've been getting it out of it." Perera also spoke of the toast he gave after the banderillas. " The bullfighter sees things down here that you can't see up above . The bull was very lively and responded. The wind was a nuisance when handling the muleta, but I felt very comfortable with how the bull responded."
As for Borja Jiménez, he also had no luck this afternoon with his lot. After his first appearance, he said, "The previous bull—referring to Anárquico—moved very strongly. The crowd was amazed by the charges of the previous bull. Every time they pressed my bull, he lost his grip, even though he had quality ."
